In what possible universe does this skin-wearing savage and his stone age people qualify as civilised?

Re: Sitting Bull Returns

Apparently, you have the intelligence of a goat. The Sioux were an amazing civilization, and had every prerequisite required to be defined as civilized. It's too bad that people like you were around to completely usurp their land and eradicate their traditional way of life.

Oh, and by the way---he obliterated Custer.

Im a little divided here. The sioux, or native americans in general, didnt really build any lasting buildings or wonders.. They never really did have any big effect on world history. On the other hand, their civilisation was very unique. I think its ok that they are in.

@ panjandrum: the real Sioux and other Native American peoples were not so primitive, as they are shown in some third-class-John-Wayne-Western-B- Movie!

Beg to differ ...

The Iroqouis had a huge impact on the course of the early English colonies, and probably prevented the French from achieving domination in North America. Not to mention that they greatly influenced the ideas of the founding fathers.

There also built numerous "wonders", the equal of any Stonehenge or other early construction. Excluding of course the Mesoamericans and Incans and the thousands of pyramids and temples in those regions, there are also things like:

Poverty Point:

Cahokia:

The cliff palaces such as Mesa Verde:

Chaco Canyon:
