Description: I'm not too sure how that happened, but it seems Boudica managed to survive a total defeat in war with an impenetrable city. I believe the borders of its cities nearby captured a hut there and spawned a settler.

Exactly, I'm pretty certain they can in reality. Anyway;
@ Silv It's actualy a random Balanced map. Here's a question, I've played three Balanced maps so far, why is it that they all seem to have one medium continent holding every civ, taking one corner of the minimap? Are they programmed like that?

So much for your conquest victory. I wonder; will nuking it enough actually destroy the city?

Unless it was in a mod, no. Well, looks like you'll have to culture flip the city...good luck with that...

Re: SOTD29: Land Of The Mountain Queen

that's awesome! the only thing is, though, that the city wouldn't be able to receive any outside resources (resources from other cities in that civ), but that's still cool...

Re: SOTD29: Land Of The Mountain Queen

No, they can't attack a city direcltly from parachuting, they gotta land next to the city first then attack it. Boudicas completely and utterly protected from capture, though you can still nuke the snot out of her, pillage and have a unit on all tiles around her city, then use another nearby city to culturally flip her while she has no buildings, no population, and no production in which to rebuild.

Or, you can just WB out a peak.

Considering that game is online, I'm going to have to venture a "No"

Is this because her settlers got bumped from a warzone to the nearest neutral territory? Or paratroopers?

I don't think so. You're not going to win conquest here.

Re: SOTD29: Land Of The Mountain Queen

I've had a good look at everyone's posts;
A) After about the next 5-10 turns, I forget, I managed Domination. (surprise surprise)
B) Even if the city wasn't the capital, I'd have a lot of trouble culture-flipping so late in the game.
C) It's bothersome I can't just trade the city away, I've essentially tortured her by, with Hannibal's help, taken every other city, and she has no access to resources and no roads in or out of the city. She's trapped, and can't do much about it.
+1

Yes, it is possible to culture flip a capital; that's how I won a domination win in a game with Always Peace turned on!

I once did it; London under Victoria flipped to me and that was the end of her civilization. (I had absorbed her other cities previously.) But that was on a very easy difficulty level.
