Thirty civilizations plus strong, the collection of works by Civilization V modder "JFD" is featured.

The immersion factor: what CivV mods the panelists use to set themselves deeply and richly in the game's environment.

Beyond Earth Icon Competition - win Beyond Earth swag!
By Camikaze at 2014-10-11 00:23
With the release of Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth just two weeks away, we're looking for a shiny, new Beyond Earth icon!

Just as we did for Civ5 (), we're running a competition to find the best 28x12 piece of art! All you have to do is design an icon, upload it in the competition thread, and then be voted the winner. After two rounds of voting we'll adopt the most popular design as our official Beyond Earth icon.

And there are prizes available! The winner will receive a Beyond Earth backpack full of Firaxis goodies from Firaxicon, thanks to 2K. The precise contents will be confirmed in the coming days.

To enter the competition, please see this thread. Entries will close one week from the beginning of that thread, and voting will take place the following week.

If you have any other artwork you think CivFanatics could use, please let us know.

Come join us on Firaxis' Twitch channel as it comes under new management! (well, for the hour anyways )

If you have any questions or topics that you'd like Pete and I to cover, let us know in this thread. I make no promises to answer everything, but we'll see if we can work some questions in. Eight factions, one hour, all strategy.

(and no this is not an LP stream, you have to wait for that )
