1848 AD Julius Caeser (the elder) returns to power as President. He proclaims the establishment of the Democratic Commonwealth of the Romans, and grants citizenship to the newly conquered cities of China.

1861 AD

Working around the clock, scientists and engineers at the leading institutes of Rome launch the first satellite, marking the beginnings of Space Flight. Zulu invasion force slips through a Roman blockade, lands near Genua, and defeats two cavalry regiments. Meanwhile, the Roman embassy in Carthage reports that the Carthaginians have discovered Writing (!).

Scientists at Galileus’s College and engineers at the Leonardus Institute develop the Solar Plant, the first cost efficient, large scale application of Enviromentalism. Zulu invasion force defeated at Genua. The Senate signs a Cease Fire with Carthage. This marks the first time since 820 A.D. that a state of war has not existed between Carthage and Rome. Carthiginian government is overthrown and replaced by Democracy. The Roman Battleship Memorandum bombards the garrison of Carthage. 1929 AD President Agricola announces a comprehensive reforestation program; to inaugurate this program, a gift of trees is made to the Carthaginians. In a shift in trade policy, henceforth, all trade routes must go to Rome. “All Roads lead Rome,” proclaims the President.
1931 AD x3 The cities of Melita, Dubris, and Glevum are founded.
1932 AD x2 The cities of Durocarturum and Verulamium are founded. President Agricola authorizes the conquest of the Mongol civilization.
1935 AD

Assault on the Mongol civilization by the Tarentine Combined Arms Corps, commanded by Consular-General Heraclius and supported by elements of the Treveri Mobile Corps and the Roman Navy. Isipezi, Karakorum, Nishapur, Bokhara, Samarkand, Aleppo, and Tabriz are all stormed. Destruction of the Mongol Civilization. No units are lost in the assault. The doors on the ancient temple of Janus are shut as President Agricola proclaims the beginning of the “Pax Romana.”

1938 AD With the completion of the last trade route between “Inner China” and Rome, President Heralclius institutes the policy of sending food caravans annually to Rome to support its growing population as the urbs orbis of Civilization.
1940 AD x3 The cities Tusculum, Florentia, and Pyrgi are founded.
1941 AD All trade routes between cities of Transmare Italia and Rome are completed.
1942 AD Guerrilla uprising near Pompeii.
