The Grammy’s Will Now Include A Category For Best Video Game Soundtrack

By | June 12, 2022

As noted by Christopher Tin on Twitter, the Grammy’s have added some new categories including a new category for video game soundtracks. To be precise:

Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games And Other Interactive Media
Recognizes excellence in score soundtrack albums comprised predominately of original scores and created specifically for, or as a companion to, a current video game or other interactive media released within the qualification period

Until now Christopher Tin holds the only Grammy for a music title from a video game, with Baba Yetu from Civ4. With this new category his uniqueness will sadly come to an end next year :(.
